iReady:
This week we will be taking our midyear assessment, in iReady. Students will take a math and reading portion. This is a tool to help us, the teachers, see where students are at.
What can you do to help?
To help prepare your child for the i-Ready Diagnostic, encourage them to:
Try their best on each question and try not to rush.
Get a good night's sleep
Try not to worry about questions they do not know--
Be respectful of other students who take longer to finish.
BELIEVE IN THEMSELVES!!!
Environmental Club Project:
NDLC will be collecting your Little Bites bags from now until May! The Entenmann company has a collection service where if you send in a box of recycled Little Bites bags they will give you money for your organization. It's a nice way to raise money for our school for recycling!
Here are examples of what we are collecting:
Send the empty bags to school and we will take care of the rest!
Thanks,
NDLC Environmental Club
Leader in Me:
Our habit that we will focus on in the month of January is Think Win-Win. Here is a resource for families that include some books that you could read to discuss using think win-win to resolve conflict.
