Reading

The last few weeks we have been working hard on solving longer and longer words. Now we are going to make sure we know what these words mean! We are going to focus on vocabulary and how to figure out what words mean if we are unsure. Some great questions to ask this week while your child is at home are, “Can you show me a word that you didn’t know it’s meaning?” “What did you try to do to figure out what the word means?” “Is there a different word you could put in place of it that would make sense?”

Math

We will be starting math homework back up this week! This week we are continuing to work on telling time. The goal of the unit is to be able to tell time to the nearest 5 minutes. Any extra work you do at home is great! Have them try telling time on different analog clocks around your home.

Photos:

Valentine's Day was great and flew by without me capturing any photos, but thank you for your work getting valentines and mailboxes ready. Students had so much fun passing them out and then looking through their "mail". We had a great day!
